Hello everyone. For those of you who don’t
know me, my name is Jeremiah Reddinger.
Most people call me Jerry. I am 33 years old.
I started taxidermy at a very young age but
my work wasn’t very good so I decided to go
to PA Institute of Taxidermy in 2004. Just out
of school, I opened my own shop and have
been part time ever since. As for my full time
job, I am a carpenter
and work with my father
and uncle. As of right
now, I am happy with
both my jobs but in a
few years from now I
hope to be a full time taxidermist.
Since I’ve gotten out of taxidermy school, I
have never missed a State Show which is
where I give most of the credit to my success
as a taxidermist. I have also competed at
every single one of them. I will always find
myself competing just to better myself. I
strongly recommend
to everyone that they
should compete. Not
for the ribbons or

the fame but for the learning experience. I’ve
always said, “You will only be as good as you
want to be”. So set your sights high; compete
every chance you get, to better yourself.
Aside from taxidermy, I enjoy hunting. I like
archery most of all. I spend countless hours
practicing long range out to 100 yards. In the
spring and early summer is when I spend
every chance I can chasing
after Musky. To me there is
no greater rush than to catch
these monster fish.
I am blessed to have a
wonderful family. My wife Jen
and my two children Parker and Paisley all
enjoy the same things I do.
In closing, I want
to say thank you to
everyone who has
helped me out in
any way to get me
where I am today,
and I hope to help
others the way they
have helped me.
